Writing Software
Writing Software
Before we really get into writing our ebooks we need some writing software to write it in. Now this can get expensive in some cases, but not in this case!;). I am going to introduce you to a great FREE program to download and start using right away.
The writing software I use for almost all of my ebooks is called Open Office, to learn more about it and download it visit….
Open Office is FREE to download and use for all your writing projects. It’s pretty big writing software to download and might take a while to complete, but fear not, it’s completely worth it;).
Why Is Open Office So Good?
Not only is it free which is always good right?, but its also very easy to use and it takes no time to learn your way around it. It’s basically an office software suite for word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, graphics and databases, these programs will usually cost you hundreds of dollars.
The best thing about Open Office is its ability to convert your finished file into a .pdf file, which is a very important file that we will talk about more in-depth in later posts, but for now the way Open Office lets us publish our files as a .pdf is a very good thing.
Another great thing about Open Office is its interface, if you have used any other office suite then you will be very familiar with the controls and options in Open Office, all the regular word processing options are available and at just a click of your mouse buttons.
After The Download
Once your download is complete its a great idea to register your writing software, doing so keeps you up to date with all the latest editions and updates to the software, and as the updates are pretty frequent its a great idea to take a couple of minutes to register your copy of Open Office.
If you are not to familiar with a program like this another good thing to do is play around with it, write a small story or an even smaller paragraph then adjust things by using the options in Open Office, create links, underline text and change fonts, go for it;).
Once you know your way around the program you are ready to go on to the next step, and the next step means you starting to write your masterpiece…….
